Creamy Custard Bao

Ingredients

  • 6 Lee Kum Kee Bao Bun - Creamy Custard
  • 60 ml Sweet sauce (such as caramel, condensed milk, or chocolate)
  • 60 ml Mixed fruits (optional)
  • 1-1.5 L Oil for deep frying
  • 1-2 Tbsp Powdered sugar (for deep-fried version)
  • 1 small cup Powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Deep Fried Version
  2. Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 130 150°C.
  3. Fry the Bao Buns for 2 3 minutes until golden and crispy. Drain well on paper towel.
  4. Place the fried bao buns and fruits on a serving plate.
  5. Drizzle with sweet sauce and finish with a light dusting of powdered sugar.
  6. Steamed Version
  7. Steam the Bao Buns for 10 minutes.
  8. Place the steamed bao buns on a serving plate
  9. Drizzle with condensed milk and serve warm.
