Ingredients
- lb ground pork
- tablespoon sShaoxing wine(or dry sherry)
- tablespoon slight soy sauce(or soy sauce)
- teaspoon dark soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon ssalt(*Footnote 1)
- teaspoon ssugar
- teaspoon sgrated ginger
- green onions, minced
- tablespoon cornstarch
- water chestnuts (one 8-oz1/227-g can), finely chopped
- eggs
- cup panko(Japanese breadcrumbs)
- tablespoon ssesame oil
- tablespoon peanut oil(or vegetable oil)
Instructions
- Add ground pork into a large bowl. Add 4 tablespoons of water. Mix well with a spatula until water is fully incorporated.
- Add Shaoxing wine, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, salt, sugar, grated ginger, cornstarch, and scallion. Mix well.
- Add water chestnuts and eggs. Mix a few times. Then add panko. Mix well.
- At the end, add sesame oil. Mix until it forms a soft paste.
