- large onions, cut into 1/4-inch-wide strips
- fillets Swedish anchovies, or regular anchovies
- potatoes, peeled and cut into strips
- 1/2 cup sheavy cream
- tablespoon sdry bread crumbs
- tablespoon unsaltedbutter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Spread onions onto the bottom of the prepared baking dish; spread anchovies on top, followed by potatoes. Pour in heavy cream.
- Combine bread crumbs and melted butter; sprinkle over potatoes. Place baking dish onto a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven until potatoes softened, cream reduced, and casserole turns deep golden brown, about 45 minutes.
