Crispy Chilli Beef

Ingredients

  • 400 g Beef sirloin steak
  • 2.5 Tbsp Cornflour (for coating)
  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp White sesame seeds
  • 1 Tbsp Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Lee Kum Kee Premium Light Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Lee Kum Kee Seasoned Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Lee Kum Kee Chiu Chow Chilli Oil
  • 5 Tbsp Water
  • 1.5 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 Tbsp Cooking wine
  • 1 Tbsp Cornflour

Instructions

  1. Cut the steak into thin strips and marinate them with the Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster Sauce for 15 20 minutes.
  2. Coat the strips with cornflour. Heat the oil over medium heat and shallow fry the beef strips until they turn brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add the sauce mix in the pan and cook for 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Return the beef strips to the pan and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Sprinkle with white sesame seeds before serving.

Tips

Chill the beef in the fridge beforehand to make it easier to slice.
