Turkey Sausage Gravy

Ingredients

  • tablespoon ssalted butter
  • cup diced onion
  • ounce sground turkey sausage
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • tablespoon sall-purpose flour
  • cup swhole milk

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium low heat. Add onion; cook and stir until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add sausage, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, and pepper flakes; cook and stir until sausage is browned and crumbly, about 10 minutes.
  3. Stir in flour until well blended; cook about 2 minutes. Increase heat to medium. Slowly stir in milk; cook and stir until gravy thickens and is heated through, about 5 minutes.
