  • cup sshortening

Instructions

  1. Cut squash into ¼ inch rounds; set aside to release moisture, about 5 minutes.
  2. Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a shallow bowl. Dredge squash slices in flour mixture, shaking off excess. Set aside.
  3. Melt shortening in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add squash in a single layer to the skillet; cook until golden brown, flipping once, about 5 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
