30-Minute Chili

Ingredients

  • pound ground chuck beef (80% lean)
  • 3/4 cup chopped yellow onion
  • (1.25 ounce) packagechili seasoning mix
  • (16 ounce) can beans in chili-seasoned sauce, undrained
  • (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained (such as Hunt's)
  • (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes and green chiles, undrained (such as RO*TEL Original)
  • (8 ounce) can tomato sauce (such as Hunt's)
  • cup water

Instructions

  1. Cook and stir beef and onion in a large saucepan over medium high heat until beef is crumbly and no longer pink, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain.
  2. Stir in seasoning mix. Add beans, diced tomatoes, tomatoes and green chiles, tomato sauce, and water; bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.
