- Tammie Davenport March 18, 2020 at 10:44 pm A lot of the Mediterranean recipes call for fresh herbs.
- I have dried only.
- How can I convert the fresh to dried in recipes?
- Reply Amira March 18, 2020 at 11:31 pm As a general rule, it is recommended to use third of what the recipe calls for.
- Example: if a recipe calls for 3 Tablespoons fresh mint then use 1 Tablespoon dry mint.
- I hope this helps.
- Let me know if you have any questions.
- Stay safe.

- larry andrews March 18, 2020 at 12:00 pm Thank you for putting together this great list.
- One thing more.
- You can (at least here on the coast) buy shelf stable milk in a box.
- It's one of the things we stocked up on.
- Also herbal tea I like.
- Flour for bread.
- Squashes keep well and potatoes also.
- I love your blog.
- Thank you.
- I like to hear about your life.
- Reply Amira March 18, 2020 at 11:26 pm larry, thank you so much for the information.
- We do not have such milk here but it is a very good idea if others can find it as well.
- Also I could not find potato anywhere but we can manage.
- Fresh squash is a great idea as well, Mexican squash last in my fridge for like two weeks before they start going bad.

- Cheryl March 17, 2020 at 5:47 pm One of my plans during this period is to teach my kids to make bread.
- They could live on toast and I know at some point, no matter how much bread I buy we will run out.
- I also bought some pasta flour to make homemade pasta.
- Thanks for your ideas.
- Reply Amira March 17, 2020 at 5:49 pm This is such a clever idea Rogue, I've never made my own pasta although I have the machine already!!!
