Grammie's Sweet Milk Cookies

Ingredients

• egg
• cup white sugar
• 1/2 cup shortening
• teaspoon baking soda
• teaspoon scream of tartar
• 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• cup sall-purpose flour
• 1/3 cup granulated sugar for decoration
• 3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

1. Mix all ingredients, except flour. Add enough flour to make a rollable dough, about 2 cups.
2. Roll out to approximately 1/2 inch thick. Cut with round biscuit cutter and sprinkle with sugar.
3. Bake in a preheated 350 degree F (175 degree C) oven for 8 10 minutes.
